Hearing
The ears detect sound.

Inside the ear is the eardrum. It is like the skin of a drum. Sound waves make it vibrate. When it vibrates, it causes three bones behind it to vibrate.

This vibration changes the pressure* inside the ear canal to change. Hair cells along the canal move. This movement causes a signal to pass to the brain along the auditory nerve.

Human can only hear sounds within a certain range.
