Nerves
Nerves are like telephone wires that carry messages through the body.

Nerves are made of cells called neurons.

The main nerve in the body is the spinal cord. It connects nerves that are not in the head to the brain.

If a nerve is cut, messages cannot be delivered. This leaves a person unable to move certain body parts or unable to use sense organs in those parts or both.
