The Human Brain
The brain controls the nervous system. It contains over 100 billion neurons.

These neurons process impulses from the 5 senses, store information in memory, monitor conditions such as balance, and control voluntary* and involuntary* muscles.

The brain is connected to parts of the body other than the head by the spinal cord.
