Unit 2: Life in the Fast Lane

Unit 2 is about living and working in space. Lessons in this unit focus on the space shuttle environment. Students consider many aspects of the shuttle, including life support systems, protective materials, astronaut's clothing and food, and communication systems. Students also focus on how being in orbit affects the human body.
